About the Grants
Annual grants of up to $5,000 are available to current recipients of adjudicated grants from the Philadelphia Music Project. Accordingly, applicant organizations have been vetted by PMP regrant panels.
Professional development grants are intended to develop professional opportunities for the artistic leadership of Philadelphia music organizations.
Projects should further the professional and artistic development of the individual as well as the mission of the organization.
Early submissions for PMP professional development grants are encouraged, as available funding will be distributed to qualified applicants on a strictly first-come, first-served basis. Applications should be submitted at least four weeks prior to the project start date.
Eligibility
Applicants must be active artistic leaders of an organization and must have been affiliated with the sponsoring organization for at least one year.
Examples of projects eligible for funding include, but are not limited to, costs to attend workshops, lectures, performances, and conferences; or fees for visiting consultants that supports the professional artistic skills development of the leadership of the organization. Travel fees may be included in this request. Although professional development grants are intended to support artistic and curatorial capacity building, they may not be used to subsidize fees or pay for expenses related to artistic engagements (e.g., performances, showcases, residencies, recording projects, commissions).
