Resources: Filling the House
Three ways to build new audiences for your programs.
1. Philly Fun Savers
Philly Fun Savers is a weekly e-mail newsletter offering half-price tickets
and admission to Philadelphia arts events. GPCA member organizations can submit
listings for their cultural events weekly for inclusion in an e-mail sent
to thousands of Greater Philadelphia arts consumers who sign up for the program
at PhillyFunGuide.com, the Greater
Philadelphia Cultural Alliance’s online events calendar. Philly
Fun Savers helps the arts consumer by lowering the "entry" cost
of participation in arts and culture events and enabling the user to make
more flexible, last minute decisions about leisure-time spending. It also
helps participating organizations by increasing revenue and enabling them
to fill seats that would otherwise be unsold.
Philly Fun Savers is part of the GPCA’s Campaign for Culture, a $3.4 million, three-year marketing initiative supported in part by The Pew Charitable Trusts and designed to promote Greater Philadelphia’s arts and culture industry.
2. Biz Tix
The Arts & Business Council’s
Biz Tix program offers complimentary or discounted tickets to business executives
involved in the council’s programs. Biz Tix helps arts organizations
attract potential new patrons, subscribers, and attendees from the business
community. For more information, contact the Arts & Business Council at
215-790-3620.
3. Complimentary Tickets
Want to improve access to your events and attract new audiences? Looking for
ways to reach underserved communities with your programs? The organizations
listed here are all interested in receiving free tickets for distribution
to their constituencies. Please e-mail
us if you would like your organization to be added to this list.
